ABOUT THE ONTARIO CULTURE DAYS FESTIVAL

Ontario Culture Days is a celebration of artists and cultural organizations in our communities. Every year, we coordinate an exciting celebration of arts & culture programming across Ontario.

In light of the current health situation, this year’s festivities have been extended to September 25th – October 25th from the traditional three days. We’re also shifting our focus to digital presentations, DIY activities, and self-guided programs. Where there are in-person activities, we’re recommending a pre-registered, limited capacity approach. To see a full listing of registered events go here.

Ontario Culture Days lives at the local level. We support organizers from the smallest hamlets to the largest cities, while coordinating with other national and provincial Culture Days partners. We support the success of our sector colleagues through resources and network development, while highlighting the breadth and heterogeneity of Ontario’s arts and culture to the wider public.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The Ontario Culture Days network is active throughout the province and across multiple Indigenous territories. We would like to acknowledge Indigenous peoples as the original occupants of this land on which we gather.

The Ontario Culture Days office is located on the land on which the City of Toronto is situated, which we acknowledge is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples.

Ontario Culture Days is committed to creating meaningful relationships and supporting a diversity of Indigenous practices, art forms, and cultural expressions. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
